Kumar, an elementary school teacher buys a television that draws large numbers of villagers to his house. Controversy ensues when the chairman of the local government bans ‘irreligious’ imagery. The villagers’ react against the chairman’s decision and in a wonderful twist, the television saves the day. A brilliant satire, this film marks the birth of a new wave in film from Bangladesh.
