Blonde fury

Blonde fury

The hair color in the film’s title is not a dye job – the chick is a true blonde, a genuine All American ball of fire, who happens to be unleashing her fury in then-Crown Colony Hong Kong. Cynthia Rothrock was a martial artist from California recruited by Hong Kong filmmakers and enjoyed a curious stardom there, playing a Westerner who speaks Cantonese as good as any local. Here she plays a FBI agent on assignment in Asia, going undercover in a newspaper reputed to be counterfeiting Dollars, punching and kicking her way alongside Hong Kong buddies. An exuberant testament to globalisation. Special guest introductions by Roberta Chow and Sam Ho.
