BLONDE VENUS

BLONDE VENUS

Appears in a double bill with Dishonored.

A cabaret singer takes up with a playboy millionaire to pay for her gravely ill husband's medical cure. Blonde Venus is a good looking mashup of a film, half social realism, half Hollywood flimflam soap, but all is redeemed by an utterly fabulous set piece: Dietrich sings the legendary ‘Hot Voodoo’ number whilst seductively stripping out of a gorilla suit. Unforgettable.
