BLUSH

Even in the context of the so-called Fifth Generation of modern Chinese cinema which broke through the Yellow Earth in 1984, Blush, a film about the effect of the revolution on the lives of ordinary people which is a revolution. Central is the interwined fate of two prostitutes in the first years of the communist state (1949-52) after being rounded up for 're-education.'
