THE SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS

THE SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS

The world of big-city journalism is a vicious, dog-eat-dog universe and J.J. Hunsecker (Burt Lancaster) is on top.  When he collides with press agent Sidney Falco’s (Tony Curtis) desperate, groveling ambition, promises are made and broken, reputations are ruined and lives destroyed. The dialogue is razor sharp, spewing out double crosses, lies, and a creepy, incestuous obsession that is at the heart of the story. Sweet Smell Of Success presents a view of New York where everybody stinks and gleams with the rank sweat of fear.
