KING KONG

KING KONG

Behind a giant wall on Skull Island dwells the beast Kong, worshipped by natives who offer up young women to keep it pacified. In New York, The Great Depression brings desperation. A young woman agrees to accompany a team of adventurers bound for the island. Will the beauty be the bait to bring down the beast? Freudian symbolism? Political allegory? Or simply a rollicking adventure with stop-motion animation special effects which still have the power to astonish in the age of CGI?
