Heleno de Freitas was a striker with a furious one-man game and the best and most controversial Brazilian footballer of the 1940s. A matinee idol, popular with everyone (especially with the ladies), he scored 209 goals for Rio’s Botafogo club…mostly with his head. But WWII struck at the peak of his career and he never made it to the World Cup. Reminiscent of Raging Bull, Heleno tells the story of one of Brazil’s greatest soccer players whose arrogance and violent temper would destroy his life both on and off the pitch.
