Guitarist Wilko Johnson is a seminal British musician and one of the punk movement’s founding fathers, known for wielding R&B guitar in acts such as Dr. Feelgood and Ian Dury and the Blockheads. When diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, Johnson had to quickly come to terms with his own imminent death. So, how to move on now that he’s survived?

Punk’s director-in-residence Julien Temple (The Filth and the Fury, Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten) shares Johnson’s unfathomable story of locking eyes with the Reaper and living to tell the tale. A visceral new addition to Temple’s esteemed rock-doc filmography.
